Soon, you will see a new 100 Rupees Note in Lavender Color and Rani ki Vav. Finally, the aloof old 100 Rupees note will also get a new face and will join the Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series. This new 100 Rupees note will be under Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series and RBI (Reserve Bank of India) will issue these New 100 Rupees Note in Lavender Color.
New 100 Rupees Note in Lavender Color will bear a signature of Dr. Urjit R. Patel, Governor, Reserve Bank of India. This new note will have a Motif of “RANI KI VAV” on the reverse. It depicts our country’s cultural heritage. Lavender is the base color of new 100 rupees note. The dimension of new 100 rupees note will be 66 mm × 142 mm.

Rani ki Vav:
Rani ki Vav is a complexly structured stepwell in Patan, Gujarat, India. It has got the title of “Cleanest Iconic Place” in India at the Indian Sanitation Conference (INDOSAN) 2016 in New Delhi in October 2016.
Rani ki Vav has an upturn temple and seven levels of stairs inside it. It has 500+ principal sculptures. It’s just not a stepwell or a water storage system; but, it’s an architectural wonder.
On new 100 Rupees note, Rani ki Vav is being used to depict our country’s cultural heritage.
What about old 100 Rupees note?
The old 100 Rupees banknotes issued by the Reserve Bank in the earlier series will continue to be legal tender.
